Digging deep. Clearing rights. Honoring the story.

Claudia Lopez is an archival producer specializing in historical and long-form documentaries. With a deep passion for visual research and storytelling, her work has contributed to projects honored with Peabody, duPont-Columbia, and Documentary Emmy awards.

Over the past decade, she has collaborated on productions for Amazon Prime, CNN, FRONTLINE, A+E Networks, MSNBC, EPIX, and VICE—diving into archives, sourcing rare material, and helping craft stories that resonate with depth and integrity. Her archival expertise also extends into commercial advertising and museum exhibitions, where she brings the same attention to detail and narrative care to every frame.

In addition to her archival expertise, Claudia provides comprehensive research support across all stages of production—from story development to final delivery. Her services include general and visual research, archival budgeting, fact checking, editorial vetting, fair use analysis, rights clearances, and contract negotiation. She helps teams navigate both the creative and legal dimensions of using third-party media, bringing flexibility, precision, and clarity to every step of the process.

Whether building the archival framework for a multi-part series or licensing a single powerful image, she approaches every project with persistence, curiosity, and deep respect for the story being told.

Claudia lives in Brooklyn with her partner and their two small dogs, Ellie and Sushi Sioux.
